Dip Days
Dip Day 13th April in Chatsworth in the Swartland was a Dip Day with a difference
Care they need, Love they deserve Paws, Relax, Repeat!
It was definitely a different mixed bag of a dip day. We think the Easter bunny hid all the dogs and cats of Chatsworth as it was a really QUIET day on the dipping side that is
Saturday we were caught off-guard as some doggo’s had to taken to the vet for immediate attention. Monica hopped into her car to do a doggie run and then Alex did the same fast track to last week, a pup called Roxy, with bleeding ears from ticks, was taken to the vet. She recovered but then relapsed and so began the vet run on Dip Day. A full blood screen had to be done as Roxy was pale in all the wrong places white gums….white tongue…..blood like water a blood transfusion was done and yay Roxy bounced back. Happy dance …then Alex arrived with an even sadder pup who had been hit by a car nothing could be done for pit-bull Phoebe so we held her gently as she flew over the rainbow bridge. Back at the Dip Day another pup was sent to the vet. Enter Stacy who showed the same sickness as Roxy. Another blood screen was done, another blood transfusion was given but no happy dance this time the rainbow bridge gained another angel then a Chatsworth paw parent presented us with Kenzy, his pooch had lame back legs at this point he is on a drip and we are waiting for an update from the vet oh my word what a sad and hectic world our pooches live in so our shortened queue of paw parents for dog dipping was not the reason for our sad faces
It was more of an education day for some paw parents as we were given a chance to chat with them when dipping was being done. We also allowed them to take ownership of the treatment involved in the dipping process by giving them little bottles of dip liquid. All the same, THANK YOU THANK YOU to our volunteers, as quiet as it was we couldn’t do it without you.
Barks Of Approval, Purrs of Satisfaction! And we love supporting the Swartland animals!

Dip Day 16th March in Chatsworth in the Swartland.
Come, heal, happy pet care. Two helping hands for four paws
It was a windy day but the sun was shining as we dipped and
dewormed our animal audience We did quite a few follow-up mange
treatments and general pet care. Nutrition was high on the list as
we saw quite a few skinnies, so @Montego Pet Nutrition, @Complete
Petfood can you help?
On Saturday we were missing an angel, Alex was not available
to spread her magic at our examination table but four hands are
better than two as our newbie volunteers, Jessica and Dean, did a
sterling job in her place. Hey Jude! hello hello!! welcome to the
photograph booth!! So many pictures to choose from – We think you
captured the essence of a very productive day spent with the
Chatsworth pets. Dog ears….dog butts… you name it we had it. Toko was
our amazing dipper for the day and Monica ruled the coop. THANK
YOU THANK YOU to everyone, we couldn’t do it without you.
We saw MANY puppies in the line today so Chatsworth paw

the bit that makes a difference. We need puppy food big time!!
@Royal Canin, @Farmina Nutrition can you assist. We were beginning to
think that Chatsworth had no cats until yay!! We had felines in the
mix today. We saw a family of 11 cats – we got them up to speed and
up-to-date with the care and and protection

Wow already we have another Dip Day done and dusted and what a turn-out. A bit windy but it blew in more and more doggos and their pawsome parents. What a successful day!
Sadly we had to make an emergency call to Bergzicht Dierehospitaal to see a very sick kitty who was subsequently sent over the rainbow bridge RIP sweet kitty
We dipped…..we educated…….we signed 4 dogs and a cat to be sterilised…….. we sent deworming meds home with parents of larger than life doggos
Delicious Treats and Gravies from Pets Elite via Chocolate Angels Animal Rescue were an absolute dream to hand out. A huge thank you to them for thinking of us we are so grateful anything to help with nutrition is simply awesome.
Alex, thank you thank you for setting the mood of the day by opening a “not to be shaken” bottle of gravy you had everyone smiling and lots of tails wagging.
We handed out little bags of food, big bags of food and there was something for everyone
We treated itchy skins and handed out Vetlomar Itch Relief – thank you again Chocolate Angels Animal Rescue for thinking of us again
We want to thank our volunteers Tandeka, Toko, Stephan, Alex and Raylin who were all excited to be back our super group manned by Angel Monica
We had a wonderful day, and it was really great to see our furry friends again. Thank you to our awesome volunteers who work so hard! Alex, Toko, Stephanie and Stephan – we really appreciate your help.
Saw lots of puppies and some sick dogs (did our best to assist and we are praying for them to get well) and we did the usual dipping and chatting to help educate and share knowledge
