Sterrie Days
We also have a sterilization project where we collect pets and take them into the vet to be sterilized; this is usually on a Wednesday.
The vaccination program is one of our most important projects as this deals with the very base of the health issues facing the pet owners.
Our a biggest problem being canine distemper and parvovirus and feline leukaemia.
STERRIE WEDNESDAY CONTINUES THE STERILISATION FIGHT
Chatsworth in the Swartland – 21st February 2024.
Neuter for a sweeter future Less fur kids, more love.
Today we had 4 female doggos
Eyes (I kid you not); Ruri ( pronounced Rory); Roxie and Layla
All from Chatsworth so a huge thank you to the paw parents who care about their pets and fighting the cycle of suffering.
So “ladies without babies ” took centre stage today and what a friendly delightful bunch they were. All went very smoothly but little Layla went home with meds as her little body took longer to cope with the shock to her system.
We were very happy to see that these 4 girls were clearly very well looked after and far from starving.
Sterilization is love in action. Sterilization is a responsible pet owner’s choice.
Sterilize to keep them by your side
Sterilize, for a pawsitive future. Neutered pets, because we care.
We are running low on funds again and are appealing to paw parents and pet lovers for a donation towards assisting us in making an impact. Any amount will be gladly received.

Steri Wednesday 27th March 2024
STERRIE WEDNESDAY SAYS LESS BREEDING, MORE LOVING AND SAVE LIVES
Chatsworth in the Swartland – 27th March 2024
Better lives start with fewer litters. Spay and neuter, it’s about love.
Today we had 1 male kitcat and 4 female doggos
Flare was nervous at first but settled nicely, Luca got a little car sick along the way and was not impressed by the journey whereas Skylar and Coco took the whole ride in their stride. All in all these soon to be “ladies without babies” were incredibly good and well behaved in the car. Thank you to their paw parents for making the right choice for them.
We collected and we delivered without any tears.
Manicures or should I say pedicures were done and rabies vacs given by vet. Everyone was happy and healthy and no one was sent home with meds.
Kitcat, Dobby, came from Groenerivier Estate, three doggos from Chatsworth and then we threw some Riverlands into the mix. A huge thank you to the paw parents who care about their pets and fighting the cycle of suffering.
Sterilization is love in action. Sterilization keeps your pet healthy.
Sterilize now, you will thank us later.

A heart beats in animals the same as in us. Extinction is Forever
Today we had 4 doggos and a cat
Whiskey, Jack, Rex, Max and munchkin kitty cat Molly
Rex had a little extra tender loving care and was sent home with antibiotics for a nasty wound. Thunder and lightning is not gentle on his well-being and getting snagged in a fence was the result. He is actually quite the teddy bear at heart and was wary of his vet visit.
Max and Rex are brothers in arms but today they were squabbling, so to keep the peace we gave them each a safe space of their own to cool down in.
All good on the day and no biting of Angel Monica or the vet. They did get pee’ed on a few times but that was fine, we can do that.
The two ladies in the mix, Whisky and Molly behaved like ladies do and took everything in their stride.
All back home and happy, the boy’s ball less and our lady never to be preggie
Bad treatment towards animals makes you a bad human. The Earth we must share- So treat all animals with care
We promote responsible pet ownership. Many Meows, One Heart
Today we had 2 doggos and a cat
Milo the tan and white boy and Luci, his sister from another mother took the day in their stride and thrilled the vet with their manners ensuring that the day was a huge success. Both these children had an extra angel in their corner as Adri the sponsor fairy opened her purse. Thank you thank you Adri Angel once again for being a furrever fairy and helping us stop the cycle of suffering your donations literally save lives
Peanut the little black munchkin used to be a wild one, spending her days in the wild outdoors, sleeping in a barn with “hooved” felines, she was growing tired of hunting for her food so unwittingly on Wednesday morning she grabbed the bait that came with a big surprise. Peanut may just learn to purr as her big surprise was a safe no fuss “meals on time + cuddles” life with no babies to worry about her captor Pia became her rescuer and reminded her that she was too good to be forgotten. Thank you Pia
A massive thank you to Lianne Thompson who helped to cover the costs of Peanuts vet bill; and she also made another donation to the steri fund

“Dogs are our link to paradise. They don’t know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring — it was peace.” – Milan Kundera
Save the paws, serve the creature, save the humanity. Dog kisses are the only happiness in life.
Today we had three gorgeous doggos
7month old male Boerbul Cross, Browny, weighed in at 32 kilos so I guess he will grow up to be big and strong minus the crown jewels
Champ Jacob was the Afrikanus Cross male a little apprehensive and not sure of what was going on so we cuddled him and soon had his tail wagging
Last but not least, gorgeous lady dog Roxi a Rottweiler/Doberman Pinscher cross hung up her sign to all male doggos telling them that this girl was going to be out of bounds. Rescued from starvation she had lost all her puppies so now there will be no more suffering.
Help us to save the human’s best friend.

Sunay Stafford, did the right thing and contacted us on Facebook asking us to sterilize Wiggles and Goggles, thank you thank you Sunay for being a sensible cat mom and sterilizing your nunus
7 and a half month old female Cross Afrikanus Maxi, was a super sweet and friendly girl with a beautiful nature who did not mind having her picture taken, whereas Zena the Rottweiler, was so protective of her dad, that she needed to be sedated. Both doggo’s were rewarded with Bravecto tablets to chase those nasty sand fleas away

A solo run was done today for Bubbles
Sweet, affectionate and oh so well behaved Bubbles blew in today and had her bubble “popped”
She was super happy when she was back with mom and out of the transport cage. It was a “me? In there? You gotta be kidding!” moment but she survived the journey
You can help stop the overpopulation crisis that leads to extremely crowded animal shelters by sterilising your pet
Every year thousands of unwanted dogs and cats, including puppies and kittens are needlessly destroyed. The good news is that every pet owner can make a difference. By making a small (or large) donation to our vet account, you can help us prevent the birth of unwanted puppies and kittens and enhance the health and quality of life of dogs and cats. Because the animals will all have homes, we can help stop euthanising of our precious animals; and street animals will be a thing of the past. We can only do this one step at a time with the goal of homes for all animals and, the best news ever …. no unwanted street animals.
Thank you to our wonderful supporters, contributors and volunteers without you we cannot do this work.
“Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.” – Roger Caras

Enter 1 year old Snoodles a Jack Russell mix delux who bagged a bag of Farmina South Africa N&D dog pellets for his courage in letting his “balls fall” thank you Chocolate Angels Animal Rescue for sharing
Gorgeous Rottweiler 4 year old Meisie chose not to be a mommy again as her past litter was difficult for her
A successful Sterri day with no complications the sun shone, the doggos were friendly, the vet didn’t get bitten and everyone was happy.
But this post is not a post without a massive shout-out to Lianne Thomson who generously sponsored these two sterries –Thank you thank you, a donation is always welcomed warmly but yours was truly amazing. We are so grateful and appreciate your generosity so much
